ANJALI'S JOURNEY
Anjali Schoetz is a student at the New York University Tisch School of Arts. She is a Dramatic Writing major and Business of Entertainment Media and Technology (BEMT) joint Tisch and Stern School of Business minor. She is an avid writer, director, musician, and filmmaker. She is a Scholastic Art & Writing Award National Silver Medal recipient, and a Scholastic Regional Gold Key Award recipient for screenwriting. She writes and composes scripts, plays, and musicals. Recently she has directed, and cast her South Asian Family dramedy “All Mixed Up”, and her slapstick comedy “For Dessert”, and had those performed at NYU theaters in NYC. Additionally, she worked with the Broke People Play Festival to direct the coming of age play “The Muffin”. You can also find her short film “Cocoon” online where she directed, wrote, edited, acted in, produced, and film scored (composed the soundtrack) for the film. Aside from writing and directing she is an avid musician. She has performed solo opera concerts in Carnegie Hall NYC, The Musikverein Austria, and sang in a one week singing tour all around Spain where she performed at numerous auditoriums, such as the Auditorio El Greco. She has performed on 3 continents, in over 5 different countries, in 5 languages (Latin, German, English, Italian, and Spanish). In addition to her classical music endeavors Anjali has performed musical theater in an Off-Broadway show in NYC. You can find her music on Spotify as she just composed and released her first musical single, DNR, and gained viewership in 6 different countries. Anjali is so excited to continue her journey as a creator in NYC!
